The Brooklyn Bridge was built in 1883 and connects Manhattan to Brooklyn, over the East River.
It is calculated that more than 120,000 vehicles, 4,000 pedestrians and 3,100 bicyclists cross the Brooklyn Bridge every day.
The architects responsible for this landmark are John A. Roebling, Washington Roebling, David B. Steinman.
After crossing the bridge, try and explore the area close by and "below" in the Brooklyn Bridge Park.
There are good food vendors, stunning skyline view from Manhattan, Jane's Carousel, the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory....all quite touristy, yes, but this is definitely worth checking off your list!
