The Hidden Subway Station Beneath City Hall - Deep in the belly of New York’s subway system, a beautiful untouched station resides that has been forgotten for years with only a limited few knowing of its existence.
It was opened in 1904 and remained open through December 31st, 1945.
Some say "it sounds like something straight out of Harry Potter".
To see this amazing spot, just stay inside the 6 train that is headed to the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall Station. When you reach the last station, don't get off! If you stay inside the train, it makes a turnaround - and that's where the magic happens. From inside the train you'll be able to see this beautiful location with an amazing architecture - with Roman brick, tiled vaults, arches, stained glass and brass chandeliers.
