A few days ago I went by Concord Hill, located in East Williamsburg and was amazed with what Kate (one of the owners) did there.
They opened November 2014 and serve seasonal American food! The place is extremely charming and the story gets even better when Kate told me that the restaurant was actually built by them - with her dad included!
The decor has metal chairs, reclaimed wooden tables and details are mostly in pleasant white and blue color.
"The restaurant was built by us and my father, we built the tables, the bar, redid the storefront, made the wooden boards for our toast plates and our dutch door all from reclaimed wood from our third partners house upstate.
It was an amazing experience for us to make everything, it was most certainly a labor of love.” Kate explained: "We set out to serve the kind of food that we want to eat when we go out, super fresh high quality ingredients with an approachable wine list; essentially we wanted to please people in a creative manner through food.”
They are opened everyday from 11am - 11pm and serve $1 oysters and drink specials every day 4pm - 6pm!!!
Guys, you’ll definitely love the place!
