As you probably have noticed, we’re definitely into a healthy lifestyle! We can’t wait for this year’s Wanderlust 108 with meditation practices, running and yoga.
Last year we wrote about this event and here it is, again! Wanderlust 108 is the world’s only mindful triathlon. The 2016 edition will be even better and more exciting!
Take a look at what Wanderlust 108 is all about:
“Wanderlust 108 is a field day for your mind, body and soul. Hold the plastic trophy, because we have better prizes: vibrant community, self-awareness and inner peace. Community instead of competition? You can’t beat that.”
5k Run: You just have to make it to the finish line. You can run, or walk…or enjoy the 5k as you wish. If you’ve never tried running, this might be quite entertaining.
Yoga: Here again, you don’t need to be an expert. If you a yoga expert, or if you it’ll be your first time on a mat, just listen to the DJ’s music and enjoy. It’s a 75 minute yoga flow experience.
Meditation: For 30 minutes, you’ll enjoy a guided mediation that will you calm you mind and your body. It will give you stillness and clarity.
Voilá! That’s is the complete program of a mindful triathlon!
“From DJs on the main stage to lawn activities like hooping, slacklining and acroyoga, to local food and craft vendors, there’s plenty to do when you’re not on your mat. Nationally recognized teachers, speakers and musical talent are featured at each event to make for a fun-filled day.
This is a triathlon for every body – whether you’re a runner with a mild down dog habit, a yogi with fast feet, or somewhere in between. This is a non-competitive, just-for-fun opportunity to do it all. And by “all” we mean “all together”, supporting each other as we push our boundaries and challenge ourselves with new experiences.”
If you also enjoy a healthy lifestyle, New York has a lot to offer! You might want try to the Class with TT, a morning rave to start your day called Daybreaker – also part of NYC’s new party scene.
