THIS BUSINESS IS UNFORTUNATELY PERMANENTLY CLOSED!

Dinner Lab is a a membership-based social dining experiment that unites undiscovered chefs with adventurous diners who want something different from the traditional restaurant experience.

They have Free and Select Memberships. The main difference is that Select Members receive early access to purchase tickets to events. Tickets for their events sell out pretty fast. Select members also receive tickets at a discounted premium price.

“We don’t dictate what our chefs cook. Instead, we ask them to tell a story through their menu – recipes that speak to their background or heritage, ingredients they’re passionate about, or completely new dishes they’ve been honing and are ready to share with you. Our cuisine, venues, and patrons are constantly in flux, so each Dinner Lab event exists for one night only.”

Founded by Brian Bordainick in New Orleans, in the year of 2011, they started offering unique dinners for guests. It suddenly grew into being part of the gastronomy pop-up scene in several different cities.

Anyone can be a member and attend a Dinner Lab event, as long as you sign up for a free account on their website. You’ll receive access to all their upcoming dinners in the city you live.

All members can purchase event tickets for themselves as well as a guest, with event prices averaging $50 – $80/person – including 5+ courses, beverages, tax and gratuity. You can view information about the chef and menu ahead of time, but the location is kept a secret until the night before. So exciting!

We had at great experience at Burns Night – a night that always centers around a supper that features a few key components. This time, it was a Scottish dinner, inside a church, in Brooklyn.

“One of the main focuses of the evening is paying homage to Robert Burns, so poems are read and sung in unison,” says Peter Karras, Master of Scotch at Pernod Ricard. “The night is filled with Scottish tunes. Bagpipes, acoustic guitar, or fiddles are a must.”

Here is what we ate:

  • #1 Course: Scotch Broth – pearled barley, charred onion, root vegetables, tallow toast
  • #2 Course: Cured Scottish Salmon – crispy sunchokes & potatoes, cultured cream, preserved lemon
  • #3 Course: Charcoal Roasted Cauliflower – soubise, herb crumble, leeks, farmer’s cheese
  • #4 Course: Smoked Lamb Haggis – sour cabbage, neeps & tatties, stone fruit mustard
  • #5 Course: Whisky Oatcakes – popcorn custard, barley malt, bramble butter

In addition, this event was hosted inside a church in Fort Greene Brooklyn. Besides being one of the neighborhoods we love the most, it’s definitely a different dining spot, right?

Their upcoming dinners will be on: April 1st, 9th and 16th, so go onto their website to register! We can’t wait!

To start, we were thrilled to be part of an exclusive Blogger’s Bruch, hosted by Brick & Portal and Ian M. Crumm. We were hosted inside a private space at a fantastic Italian restaurant in Soho, named Mamo NYC.

The restaurant has beautiful brick walls with huge vintage movie posters, the food is great and it’s perfect for any type of occasion. After all, there is no need for an excuse when we talk about Italian cuisine, right? We are huge fans, for sure!

The group was amazing and the food was delicious – as you can see in the pictures. Conversations were very interesting and resolved not only around experiences and peculiarities about the Social Media industry, but also lifestyle, travel, hospitality and other priceless topics!

In addition, the organization was flawless and it was an honor to be part of it!

Take a look at what we had to eat:

Antipasti

  • Insalata di lenticchie e gamberi – Shrimp and lentils salad
  • Prosciutto di Parma – Tomato, cantal cheese, prosciutto
  • Uova strapazzate al pomodoro – Scrambled eggs with pomodoro sauce

Primi e Secondi

  • Rigatoni alla carbonara – Rigatoni with carbonara sauce
  • Penne all’arrabbiata – Penne arrabbiata style
  • Pizza tigullio – Pizza with potatoes, pesto sauce and beans

Desserts

  • Mixed selection

Thank you Brick & Portal and Ian M. Crumm for inviting us to be part of this great event!

Plus, we also fell in love the the candle in our gift bag by Alchemy Produx. Can’t wait for them to start selling in New York.

This was the first of many Blogger brunch we’ll be attending, and we can’t wait for the next ones to come!

We wrote a post a few days ago about the Korean NYC Cooking Class we were invited to go, do you remember? This time, we went to another NYC Cooking Class!

On February 20th, we participated in this super unique and delicious Delectable Sea Vegetable cooking class.

Chef Shin, Founder of Banchan Story, taught us how to cook countless types of delicious, healthy sea vegetables that are very rich with minerals. We learned how to prepare them as a part of a daily meal through easy and quite simple steps.

Now, we would like to briefly tell you about our NYC Cooking Class experience. It all took place in her kitchen, located in Hell’s Kitchen.

We completely adored the class and Chef Shin Kim couldn’t be a more pleasant and kind human being! Not to mention, her obvious extraordinary cooking skills.

As soon as we arrived at the address given to us, we encountered a small little staircase leading us down to a black metal door. We started loving the experience from that point already, for there is nothing more exciting than going down a little staircase, not knowing what to expect. Then, after passing through the doorway, you find a beautifully built kitchen, very organized, with a quite tall ceiling, giving the space more amplitude and comfort.

Chef Shin has great teaching skills and definitely knows how to keep it simple and easy to learn.

I’m a vegetarian, so she was super prepared to have dishes that I was able to cook and eat during this NYC cooking class.

These are the amazing dishes that we learned how to cook:

  • Calamari & Miyeok (wakame) Salad with Ginger Gochujang Sauce
  • Sautéed Sea Vegetables Mélange with Spicy Sesame Seasoning
  • Savory Dulse and Garlic Chives Pancakes with Lemon-Sory Dipping Sauce
  • Soy-Pickled Spicy Peppers
  • Udon Noodle Soup with Kelp and Shitake Broth
  • Sweet Brown Rice Balls with Hijiki Rolled in Nori
  • Yuzu-Cannellini Jelly made with Agar Agar
  • Sweetened White Bean Paste

Plus, she gave us a great list of a few grocery stores with Korean ingredients in Manhattan. This way we would be able to find everything we used for cooking that day!

Chef Shin hosts cooking classes every month, with different topics and menus. Take a look at her website to find out when are the upcoming classes and what she will be teaching!

Have fun!

We had a pretty amazing night during this last New York Fashion Week. Everyone that night felt what it’s like to be a kid again during our exclusive Broadway Meet & Greet experience!

We hosted a beautiful group of Influencers from Brazil, that are in New York for the NYFW, at the show: The Lion King.

We had to do something “behind the scenes” to stay true to our concept.

So, we organized an awesome private backstage experience after the show. The girls met the one and only, Simba and the very beautiful and talented Chantel Riley that played, Nala.

They both did an extraordinary presentation that night, with a great cast and creative team. Both were incredibly sweet with the group. They took their time to talk and answer all the questions the girls had. Not to mention, their kindness during the countless pictures we took!

Just a bit of information on The Lion King. It’s an award-winning best musical, with 80 million audience members worldwide and 70 major theatre awards internationally. Plus, 27 global productions around the world and it’s the 3rd longest running Broadway show! Wow!

We are very happy that everyone had a great time. We were all able to experience and feel what it’s like to be a child again!

Thank you FHits, Camila Coelho, Carolina Tognon, Constanza Fernandez and Janaina Carvalho for a memorable night and trusting us to take care of you!

Thank you also, for our great VIP Chauffeur partner, for taking us around New York City and guaranteeing we got to the show on time!

Take a look at a quick snapchat done by Camila Coelho:

Thank you Disney for believing in our work and making this project come to life!

If you want to have an exclusive and private Broadway Meet & Greet Experience at any of the shows, or even have a pre-show dinner with the cast, contact our experts to make your dream come to life!

For Corporate Experiences, send us further information about your project so we can assist you.

#UnCoverLES: Tour the Lower East Side of Manhattan

Our Experts Recaps Uncover LES Tour Flyer

The Lower East Side, also known as LES, has experienced important changes throughout the last decades. So, come explore and tour the Lower East Side with us!

Our Experts Recaps Uncover LES Tour Flyer

We’ve joined forces with two fantastic NYC Instagrammers – @CreateNYC and @HiddenGemofNYC – to host a meetup and explore the Lower East Side in Manhattan, and its history.

Why? Because of our constant curiosity “state of being”!

The Lower East Side neighborhood went from being a neighborhood known by the bohemian NYC society, to a place that lovingly sheltered European immigrants. Now, it’s transforming into a destination where people go scouting for great restaurants and bars.

To start, the project was designed to serve the community and market for those who are new or underserved in the neighborhood. Through the meetup, the group will explore interesting, hidden spots of LES. Guests will also meet the people who are making a difference to the community.

Moreover, we will walk around LES in a pre-determined route with 8 different businesses. They range from art galleries, graffiti spots, to coffee shops, restaurants and stores. Also, he business owners and artists of each place will talk about their experiences. In addition, they will also give all the participants gifts, as well as share their stories and knowledge of the neighborhood.

So, there is a symbolic fee of $25/person.

But note! All proceeds will be donated to two a local charity that are a part of the LES Community – The Bowery Mission and The Tenement Museum.

Come explore and tour the Lower East Side neighborhoods with us! Plus, keep your eyes opened for our future BTSNYC experiences. Also, check out our on going experiences, like the Bushwick Graffiti, Bites & Drinks Photo Tour.

See you there!

If you are interested in organizing privates tour for your friends & family, we have countless ideas that will make it a memorable experience. For corporate groups, contact our experts to learn more about our services.
