Paramount Hotel

"<yoastmark

"<yoastmark

Built in the 1920’s, the hotel was considered one of the best in town. At the time, everyone passing through Times Square (between 1938 and 1951) would certainly enter the hotel to go to Diamond Horseshoe – a club / theater serving dinners in the basement of the hotel.

After being sealed and closed for 62 years, the hotel was repurchased by a millionaire by $20 million and reopened in the New Year’s Eve of 2014.

One of the great attractions at the hotel is the show Queen of the Night, which takes place inside the famous Diamond Horseshoe which was also revitalized. Giovanna Battaglia is the Creative Director of this “theatrical dinner” that mixes theater, music, circus and design. The Dress Code? They ask you to “Dress for the Queen”, so only formal attires, cocktail dresses or luxurious costumes are accepted.

The hotel is also the home of a restaurant called Paramount Bar & Grill and the Corso Coffee, an Italian bar with coffee, cakes, pastries, sandwiches and salads.

The rooms have contemporary decor and modern design with flat-screet televisions, internet, iPod docking station…and your floor tells you what is the temperature out there to help you get dressed.
Interesting, right?!

The Refinery Hotel

Refinery Hotel Rooftop
Refinery Hotel – Rooftop

The hotel was built inside a former hat factory of the early 20th century. Located in Midtown, it has 12 floors with 197 rooms and offers a really cool entertainment.

Parker & Quinn, the restaurant with seasonal foods offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and for those who want a good cocktail, its nostalgic décor recalls the early 1900’s in NYC. They offer live music with pianists, jazz singers and even DJs in certain week nights.

The Winnie’s Wine Lobby Bar recalls the era of the US Prohibition when the production, sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages was prohibited. With a beer and wine menu for every singular possible taste, the bar also offers live music.

Since all true New Yorkers love a rooftop, the hotel did not forget to make its own! The Refinery Rooftop is cozy, with a rustic space and an amazing view of the Empire State Building. The cocktails created by Alex Ott are made from natural ingredients and certainly will make a difference in your night!

The Marlton – Guest Room

Located in Greenwich Village, The Marlton Hotel is a hotel with small rooms, yes. But, it did become one of the most hip spots in the city where the cool gang hangs out.

In the past it hosted poets, artists and writers such as Jack Kerouac, Julie Andrews, Carmen McRae seeking work in New York and that enjoyed the neighborhood.

After a revival, it was reopened in September 2013.

The restaurant called Margaux, has a menu with influences blending cuisines from California, France and some of the countries bordering the Mediterranean. It offers dishes with fresh seasonal ingredients.

The Cocktail Bar is opened from 7pm through 2am. It attracts the cool local NYC crowd we mentioned above, for after hours. Something that is pretty common in the New York nightlife scene.

Ludlow Hotel

Ludlow-Hotel-Garden
Ludlow Hotel – Garden

"<yoastmark

The Ludlow Hotel, inaugurated in 2014 in the Lower East Side, instantly became one of the coolest boutique hotels in NYC to stay at.

The hotel has 184 rooms and 20 suites – that can cost up to $2,000/night. But, the other suites do have good, affordable prices, so don’t worry!

The very unique décor has marble tiled floor, handmade silk carpets, handcrafted lamps from Morocco and giant industrial windows.

We guarantee the hotel has everything you might want…even a mini bar with gluten-free products. WOW!

The restaurant, Dirty French, is also a “must-go” when you come and visit. Be sure to make a reservation!

Location: 180 Ludlow Street

The High Line Hotel

"<yoastmark

Located on a terrain where apples were once cultivated, the hotel offers 60 rooms in a beautiful brick building bordering the High Line Park – an old train track that was turned into a suspended park, in Chelsea.

The rooms are large, with beautiful décor mixing American and European styles, vintage looking furnitures. In addition, generous windows overlooking the High Line Park and the private garden of the hotel.

Unlike other boutique hotels, it does not offer famous restaurants or bars, but it does host the 1st Coffee Bar in New York, Intelligentsia. They have a wonderful coffee that you can enjoy in their garden area.

In front of the hotel you can find a coffee truck with coffee and delicious sweets that are perfect to enjoy during the summer.

In the evening, Champagne Charlie’s, their outdoor lounge on the hotel’s patio, is a great option to have some appetizers and a great selection of beer, wine and champagne.

Located in Midtown, the Viceroy is one of New York’s hotel that blends the cool Downtown style, with the luxury of Uptown, in a subtle and intelligent way.

The rooms have amazing views of the city, mainly of Central Park. The design was created by the renowned duo called Roman and Williams, famous for decorating other luxury hotels too.

The Kingside restaurant brings the creations of Chef Marc Murphy. In addition, the famous and always crowded rooftop, The Roof, is definitely an attraction.

With a lounge and outdoor terrace, the drink menu is great and offers handcrafted local beers, wines from every corner of the world. The cocktails are made with fresh ingredients and the food menu offers small snacks and dishes – the most popular dish is surely their burger.

Enjoy any time of the year to visit the Viceroy. Go up to the The Roof to be “awed” by one of the most beautiful views of Central Park and Manhattan!

Hotels Wythe Hotel Williamsburg Broooklyn

Brooklyn is not only growing and attracting more businesses into it, but it’s also becoming one of the best neighborhoods to stay at, while you visit New York! Take a look at some of the best hotels in Williamsburg Brooklyn!

Hotels William Vale Williamsburg Brooklyn Rooftop View

What was once an outcast neighborhood, is now becoming the place to eat, play, sleep and work. Brooklyn, as we all know, is the second biggest boroughs in New York, but is the most populated one by far!

Today, people are moving into Brooklyn, new businesses are opening every week and now, even the tourists are keen in exploring what this neighborhood is all about.

That said, we decided to share a quick post, listing a few hotels and accommodation options to stay, if you’re also looking to spend more time in Brooklyn.

Check them out below!

The William Vale

Hotels William Vale Williamsburg Brooklyn

Ok. We know that this hotel is a bit touristy, but it’s today the most prestigious and grandiose place to stay in Williamsburg.

The William Vale opened to the public in September of 2016. There is no way to miss it, since it’s the biggest building by the river with a unique architecture. In addition, it’s very well located and easy to commute to and from.

Its rooftop is one of the most coveted ones during the hot months, since if offers a 360º view of New York. You can literally see everything from up there – Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island and even New Jersey. Phiuf!

It has a few dining options from Leuca, on the ground floor, to the rooftop bar called Westlight on the 22nd floor and even the Vale Pool, opened seasonally, exclusively for guests. They also offer great cocktails to start off, or end the night.

The rooms are very modern and fully equipped with everything you might need!

Wythe Hotel

Hotels Wythe Hotel Williamsburg Broooklyn

The Wythe Hotel was probably the first, trendy boutique hotel in Williamsburg. Housed inside a former factory, the brick façade gives their guests a nostalgic feeling.

Known for hosting some of the best rooftop parties with a breathtaking view of the city, it’s attracts a pretty high-end, hip crowd.

The New American restaurant is called Reynard, is open up through mid-night and welcomes walk-ins. They offer breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner, so you’ll be sure to find a time to pass by.

Finally, rooms are decorated with some of the original historic industrial detailing, setting the vibe to the place. But, nonetheless, it offers a full-service mini bar, heated floors, free wifi, beauty products in the bathroom and more! Enjoy!

Location: 80 Wythe Avenue

The Williamsburg Hotel

Hotels The Williamsburg Hotel Williamsburg Brooklyn

Steps from the Wythe Hotel, you’ll find The Williamsburg Hotel. It’s recently launched in 2017 and has quite a few unique tweaks to it.

It’s 150 rooms, spread throughout 8 floors are fully equipped and many have a great views, so be sure to pick the ones where you’ll see Williamsburg from above.

They offer great little tuk-tuks to take guests to bars, restaurants, to the subway, helping them commute in the neighborhood. Pretty cool, right? If you enjoy biking, you can borrow them at the hotel for a full day too!

The restaurant, Harvey, offers dishes with locally sourced ingredients. Their bread is made in-house and their tea time is a must-go. Ah! breakfast is “their treat” as they explain, and we just love it! Come on, paying for breakfast at a hotel is always quite annoying, right? Bonus points for them!

In addition, if you’re into good Jazz music, stay tuned at their upcoming events!

Location: 96 Wythe Avenue

The Pod Hotel

Hotels The Pod Hotel Williamsburg Brooklyn

Finally, the Pod Hotel is also a new addition to the neighborhood.

With other 3 locations in Manhattan – Midtown, Murray Hill and Times Square, they have finally opened in Brooklyn.

The Pod’s restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with indoor, outdoor and rooftop seating, which we love! It also offers a lounge area and work space, if you’re in the city for work.

This hotel is very budget friendly, while also offering a great experience. The design is very modern, rooms are small, but they all have private bathrooms and it’s super well located.

You’ll be able to explore the neighborhood, while sleeping in the heart of it!

Location: 247 Metropolitan Avenue

“Like many travelers, I look for a place that is quiet, clean, and has free Wi-Fi. Furthermore, location is key: it could mean the difference between spending a $30 cab ride to get across the city and being right where the action is (and I’ve done both).

With the vast selection of hospitality companies offering standard and specialty accommodations there is no need to visit anyone place twice. Until now! Say “Hello!” to The Renwick, an intimate 173-room boutique hotel, and full of big city dreams. This brick and mortar classic is packed with stories from the early 20th century.

Built in 1928, the hotel is named after its architect, James Renwick, Jr., who is best known for his design of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Although not a formally-trained architect like his father, Renwick Jr. studied engineering and was influenced by his world explorations.

Originally, the building was comprised of oversized artist’s studios and lofts that were eventually turned into a long-stay hotel.

It was home to many creative types and prominent literary figures, such as John Steinbeck, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Thomas Mann.

Plus, it’s charming to pause at the doorway of The Renwick, to soak in the inspiration of the streets of Midtown New York. Just like the title character in Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby.

Eventually reimagined into an “artful luxury hotel”, the Renwick offers inviting guest rooms designed as its own ’artist studio’, equipped with ’blank canvas’ white walls. The TV stand is fashioned to look like a painter’s easel.

In addition, for window shades, local artist Ben Cowan produced unique renderings of the New York skyline for each room, using a dry brush technique on painter’s drop cloth. From Erin Lass’ wall quotes to the ceramic pen cup by Yuka Uchida of OVO Ceramics, each guest room has a unique curation that begs to be noted.

However, the art theme does not end there. The stairwell leading to the fitness center has drawings by Heather Heckel as motivation. Moreover, even the housekeeping staff dons outfits that replicate an artist’s smock!

To conclude, there is much at The Renwick to acknowledged and admired. The design is in the details, and the details are everywhere. I look forward to my upcoming stay, so that I can continue to revel in the history and draw on creativity for my future endeavors.”

It’s surely and artful luxury boutique hotel in Manhattan!

In addition, the Lobby Lounge is great for drinks, while the outdoor terrace is perfect for enjoying some small bites to hold off ’till dinner!

The hotel offers everything for a perfect Summer at Sag Harbor. From an outdoor pool, spa and fitness center, to the beach just steps away, they have it all! If you forgot something at home, they have a small store to purchase anything you might need.

“On foot, stroll up and down Main Street to discover singular boutiques, galleries, and local museums, or dine at the most widely-acclaimed restaurants in the Hamptons.

By boat, explore the stunning local waterways, coves, and marinas. Or drive just minutes to the freshest local farm stands and some of the finest ocean beaches on the East Coast.”

In short, do visit them during this upcoming summer in Sag Harbor.

You can also take a look at a YouTube video we shot at Sag Harbor showing you more about Baron’s Cove, as well as other places to visit!

It’s surely one of the best times of the year to enjoy all the outdoor activities.

And also, watch a gorgeous sunset, explore the North Fork lavender fields (Yup! We have lavender in New York!). Or, experience tastings in the local wineries like Macari Vineyards.

Located in the hype neighborhood of Williamsburg, the B&B created by Lyon Porter, offers 4 bedrooms in a freestanding townhouse. Oh, plus it’s the only B&B in Willyb! Pretty intimate, right?

“The Cowboy is luxury with a local sensibility. In the morning, breakfast is delivered from their local hospitality partners, so one can decide between an almond chocolate croissant, biscuits and gravy, or keep it healthy and have an organic green juice.

At night, guests can mingle with the native Brooklynites during the various dinner parties and events hosted by the owner.”

The décor is rustic and intimate at the same time, making you feel you’re at home, or at least, at a friend’s place. Every detail is intriguing, done with much love, but effortless at the same time, which definitely gives it a twist.

Urban Cowboy is definitely the place to stay to have a real Brooklyn experience!

Not sure what you’ll find close to it? We can suggest a few spots to pass by!

If you’re in the mood of eating fantastic seasonal American food, at a neighborhood style restaurant, try Concord Hill.

Beco Bar is one of the spots where the cool kids hang, so be sure to go there for some super traditional Brazilian food and drinks! Try the famous Caipirinhas!

If you’re in the mood of shopping and you love vintage store, you should schedule some time to visit these 3 stores in Brooklyn. Are you traveling without your girl? Go there buy her a great gift! She’ll surely love it!

Still craving more…just search our website to see what this fantastic “hood” has to offer!

We LOVE it!

Located in the Lower East Side, between Houston and Stanton Streets, the hotel offers 184 guest rooms, including 20 suites and can cost up to $2,000 one certain nights, but other rooms have fare, accessible prices,  so don’t worry! It sure is “the place to stay”.

With a cool décor that includes marble mosaic floors, handmade silk rugs, artisan-crafted Moroccan pendant lamps and huge industrial windows, the hotel offer every luxury you expect when you want to travel in style.

Their mini bar offers even gluten free options! How cool is this?!

A few of the amenities are: free wifi, concierge service, outdoor dining area, a fitness center, a fantastic rooftop with the most breathtaking view of the city and so much more!

The Dirty French restaurant offers a French cuisine mixing the classic french recipes with modern tastes and techniques! Note: They take reservations are taken 1 month in advance.

The restaurant has also hosted some of the top events in the city, from fashion dinners to private parties. Be sure to consider them for your next event! In a separate area, the Ludlow Hotel has a private dining room that can also host your guests.

Furthermore, be sure to check out their lounge area and garden, where you can chill and grab a drink.

And still, the Lower East Side is one of our favorite spots to explore in the city. There is always a few store, restaurant, bar, coffee shop or gallery opening, making it one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in Manhattan.

What to explore while you’re there? Well, that’s a very tough question, but here are a few ideas:

Restaurants, you can try: Souvlaki GR, a charming greek spot and Sweet Chick that also had a location in Williamsburg;

Fashion: We are in love with Vaute, the first full Vegan fashion brand! Simply fantastic.

Nightlife: Rockwood Music Hall is one of the coolest places to watch upcoming bands just vibe off each other and meet some of the most interesting kids in town; and Piano’s is also on the top of the list!

Yup, it’s “the place to stay” in town! Enjoy!

The beautiful $18 million dollar renovation of HGU New York, marries both style and substance. The hotel definitely stands as crown jewel to the Park/Madison area.

Preserving the history of the 1905 landmark Beaux-Arts structure, designed by architect Frederick C. Browne, Alfa Development collaborated with hospitality designer Peter Guzy (of Asfour Guzy Architects) as well as DD Allen (of Pierce Allen Design) to ensure all spaces are both comfortable and chic.

Furthermore, Gallery 151 provided the curated art throughout the hotel featuring New York’s emerging artists among icons such as Fab 5 Freddy and Liz Markus. The walls are bursting with artwork accented with large, ornate flower arrangements that create an atmosphere unique to HGU New York.

Establishing a home-away-from-home experience, each of the 90 guest rooms is decorated with serene grey and white décor. Also, you’ll find 300-thread count Frette bedding, bath and beauty products from New York’s own C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries.

Also, the pillows deserve a special mention – they are incredible. Varying in firmness with white goose down and feather fill, the hotel provides guests with options to complement their sleep.

The 1905 Lounge is complete with a fireplace from the building’s original structure.

A large TV is masked behind a mirror, not competing with the décor. Eventually, it will serve as the perfect place for film screenings as well as meetings and intimate events.

In October 2016, the hotel’s restaurant opened and now provides room service. Plus, in 2017, guests will enjoy the city’s night lights when the rooftop inaugurates.

Lastly, there is so much to do in the City, that is can be pretty overwhelming, so do contact us to learn more about our Concierge Services. We will make your trip to NYC a perfect, seamless experience! Do you need help organizing your company’s business trip? Look at the Corporate Services we offer and how we can help.
