What was once an outcast neighborhood, is now becoming the place to eat, play, sleep and work. Brooklyn, as we all know, is the second biggest boroughs in New York, but is the most populated one by far!
Today, people are moving into Brooklyn, new businesses are opening every week and now, even the tourists are keen in exploring what this neighborhood is all about.
That said, we decided to share a quick post, listing a few hotels and accommodation options to stay, if you’re also looking to spend more time in Brooklyn.
Check them out below!
The William Vale
Ok. We know that this hotel is a bit touristy, but it’s today the most prestigious and grandiose place to stay in Williamsburg.
The William Vale opened to the public in September of 2016. There is no way to miss it, since it’s the biggest building by the river with a unique architecture. In addition, it’s very well located and easy to commute to and from.
Its rooftop is one of the most coveted ones during the hot months, since if offers a 360º view of New York. You can literally see everything from up there – Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island and even New Jersey. Phiuf!
It has a few dining options from Leuca, on the ground floor, to the rooftop bar called Westlight on the 22nd floor and even the Vale Pool, opened seasonally, exclusively for guests. They also offer great cocktails to start off, or end the night.
The rooms are very modern and fully equipped with everything you might need!
Location: 111 North 12th Street
Wythe Hotel
The Wythe Hotel was probably the first, trendy boutique hotel in Williamsburg. Housed inside a former factory, the brick façade gives their guests a nostalgic feeling.
Known for hosting some of the best rooftop parties with a breathtaking view of the city, it’s attracts a pretty high-end, hip crowd.
The New American restaurant is called Reynard, is open up through mid-night and welcomes walk-ins. They offer breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner, so you’ll be sure to find a time to pass by.
Finally, rooms are decorated with some of the original historic industrial detailing, setting the vibe to the place. But, nonetheless, it offers a full-service mini bar, heated floors, free wifi, beauty products in the bathroom and more! Enjoy!
Location: 80 Wythe Avenue
The Williamsburg Hotel
Steps from the Wythe Hotel, you’ll find The Williamsburg Hotel. It’s recently launched in 2017 and has quite a few unique tweaks to it.
It’s 150 rooms, spread throughout 8 floors are fully equipped and many have a great views, so be sure to pick the ones where you’ll see Williamsburg from above.
They offer great little tuk-tuks to take guests to bars, restaurants, to the subway, helping them commute in the neighborhood. Pretty cool, right? If you enjoy biking, you can borrow them at the hotel for a full day too!
The restaurant, Harvey, offers dishes with locally sourced ingredients. Their bread is made in-house and their tea time is a must-go. Ah! breakfast is “their treat” as they explain, and we just love it! Come on, paying for breakfast at a hotel is always quite annoying, right? Bonus points for them!
In addition, if you’re into good Jazz music, stay tuned at their upcoming events!
Location: 96 Wythe Avenue
The Pod Hotel
Finally, the Pod Hotel is also a new addition to the neighborhood.
With other 3 locations in Manhattan – Midtown, Murray Hill and Times Square, they have finally opened in Brooklyn.
The Pod’s restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with indoor, outdoor and rooftop seating, which we love! It also offers a lounge area and work space, if you’re in the city for work.
This hotel is very budget friendly, while also offering a great experience. The design is very modern, rooms are small, but they all have private bathrooms and it’s super well located.
You’ll be able to explore the neighborhood, while sleeping in the heart of it!
