For our new NYC Hush Hush Tips, we invited the Brazilian Journalist and Blogger, Chris Pitanguy to share her favorite NYC spots.
We couldn’t be more honored to interview this Brazilian beauty and super powerful women, Chris Pitanguy. She shared some of her favorite NYC spots and we have to say, they are all fantastic places to go and #UnCover!
Chris Pitanguy studied journalism and founded a fashion and luxury consultation company in 1995, in Brazil.
A few years later she used her expertise working for a few shopping centers and increased her portfolio with numerous renowned Brazilians brands.
Chris, as friends call her, is part of the elite collaborators for Vogue Magazine and Harpers Bazaar.
Ind addition, she has an important work as Publishing Board Member and Lifestyle Curator for Forbes Magazine Brazil.
Besides her super busy agenda, she still has a lifestyle and fashion website and co-founded Eu Ajudo Foundation, which supports important causes, in Brazil.
Definitely an amazing, multitask beauty…that is still working in community-driven work! A perfect sum!

DuMont Burger
“DuMont Burger has fantastic hamburgers, variations of classic recipes and other delicious dishes make the place perfect for a relaxed dinner, in Brooklyn. The place is named after their iconic sandwich. Plus, they also offer a wonderful delivery service!”
Located in South Williamsburg, DuMont Burger was founded back in 2005 by Colin Devlin in partnership with the Executive Chef, Polo Dobkin. They felt that the neighborhood lacked a good burger spot!
Today, they offer countless burger variations and they are great for a casual dining night! Plus, they also have made-to-order artisanal doughnuts and Brooklyn Roasting coffee service.

Duane Park “New York Burlesque & Live Jazz”
“With refined, but super sexy burlesque shows a la Dita Von Teese, the restaurant is a night you won’t forget. The great American cuisine is the perfect mix with the delicious drinks made of exotic ingredients such as absinthe and ginger, plus the outstanding jazz music.”
New York City is a place of experience, and this is certainly one that you should attend!
This dressy “supper club is the city’s spot for hot live music, cabaret and even hotter burlesque shows”.
So, if you’re in the mood of some classy burlesque music and fantastic jazz, paired with a delicious dinner and an awesome crowd, go check them out!
“The restaurant redefines the seascape of high-end Italian cuisine serving regional foods of Italy. Chef Michael White presents a fresh interpretation of the coastal cuisine and is also famous for his house-made pasta! They offer a 750 selection wine list!”
Located literally across the street from Central Park, Marea is one of New York’s restaurants that make it to the top of the list of best restaurants in the city!
Moreover, this high-end Italian spot is a great place for a special celebration, a business meeting, a place to impress clients, or a place to pamper yourself in – because you deserve it!

Nomad
“With a blending of the Mediterranean Cuisine and the North African Desert, the ambiance at The Nomad Hotels’ restaurant is a mix of the artwork of Alex Weiss’ wall paint sceneries, imported artwork from Morocco, and the carved iron work of Steel Neal. Chef Daniel Humm offer a menu with fun, colorful dishes!”
The hotel offers a few different dining spaces. From The Atrium, inspired in the airy European courtyards and the Parlour’s elegant ambiance, to The Nomad Bar remembering a classic New York City tavern and The Elephant Bar with a grandiose 24-foot-long mahogany bar.
In addition, Chef Daniel Humm does miracles in the kitchen and clients always leave the dining experience in “awe”. After all, there is nothing better than having a feast to enchant your taste buds!

Jeffrey New York
“Jeffrey is a great high-end shopping experience in the Chelsea. You can find gorgeous pieces by Thom Browne, Comme Des Garçons, Raf Simon, Givenchy, Prada and Margiela, plus an amazing shoe selections.”
Their philosophy? They explain that they are always aiming to offer the best and most flawless service, showcasing coveted products in a fun, positive and upbeat ambiance!
Well, they’re going that quite well!
Jeffrey is a shopping experience you have to indulge in. They are a one-stop shop with a great team to assist you, with a focus on customer service. Location is great, since they are right on the border of the Meatpacking District with Chelsea!
Plus, their product selection is super unique. It’s a great place not only for the ladies, but also the gentlemen to shop!
