Our Contributor, Dani Zaccai, shares a great tip if you’re into Italian cuisine and enjoy delightful, elegant small restaurants in the West Village neighborhood!

If you are looking for a charming and cozy restaurant in Manhattan, you have to try Palma – a great Italian restaurant in the West Village, with a fantastic outdoor area!

From the outside, you’ll see a small door, dim lighting and a bright yellow awning. When you walk in, the light is still pretty faint and comfortable, the décor is beautiful with fresh flowers spread all around the place and simple rustic wooden tables.

Almost instantly, the outdoor garden area “catapults” you to Italy, when you walk outside. The retractable glass ceiling draws in natural light and during the warmer days (like these past few…) they open it, offering a delightful dining experience.

During the winter, they place cozy blankets on the chairs to make sure you’re feeling warm during lunch or dinner.

The food is excellent – definitely one of the bests pastas I’ve eaten in the City! Palma uses organic ingredients and remains faithful to their family recipes and techniques, passed through a few generations.

My suggestion is the Carciofi Croccanti as a starter, and then choose one of their amazing pastas pairing it with wine!

Since this West Village Italian restaurant is quite small, I highly encourage you to make a reservation before going – preferably a week in advance, especially if you’re planning on going during the weekends.

Oh! Are you looking for a place to celebrate your birthday or even a small wedding?

This place is a great option! If you need help to make it happen, see how our Concierge Services can help you out!

In case you need to organize a lunch, happy hour, dinner or a small event for your company, our experts with Event Organization in NYC, can organize it for you.

It’s surely a romantic getaway in the middle of the charming West Village.
