The Little Cupcake Bakeshop was launched in 2005 and they explain that their desserts are produced by “using only the freshest, sustainable ingredients, predominantly sourcing locally, from farms in the Hudson Valley, Catskills, Vermont, New Jersey, and in strides, seasonally, with all baking done in small batches on-site, everyday. No shortening. No preservatives.”

Plus, they continue by saying that their milk comes from “grass fed cows and the espresso bars serve organic teas and Non-GMO illy caffe.”

At every store, they are awesome in supporting the local community and having “a green architectural design”. They work in different sustainable projects locally, nationally and even internationally.

We do love their well known favorite Brooklyn Blackout Cake, but the Carrot Cupcake was also very tasty! And, of course, like every good New Yorker, we love the Red Velvet options too!

If you’re thinking they only sell cupcakes, wait! They have also layer cakes, half sheet cakes, cookies, bundt cakes, cheesecakes, ice creams, puddings, pies, sweet bars and even breakfast options!

If you are vegan, they have some really tasty options, so you certainly won’t feel left out!

We love businesses that incentivizes the vegan lifestyle and helps to show that vegan food is just as heavenly and temping…so why not try!

Speaking of which, you should try By Chloe and their sweet store in Soho. All vegan! All amazingly tasty!

You have to agree, it’s a real temptation!

Want to know a super cool thing about them?

Their “goal is to create a new business model that works for people and the planet. Each Little Cupcake Bakeshop institutes energy efficient practices, appliances, equipment and tools.”

How amazing is this? We definitely need more businesses that have this type of conscious business model.

The store we typically go to is the Little Cupcake Bakeshop in Brooklyn, on Vanderbilt Avenue. You’ll be just a few blocks from Prospect Park, so grab your cupcake and go eat it on their lawn!

Oh! Celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio and Steve Tyler love the spot too, so keep your eyes opened when you go there…maybe you’ll bump into an undercover Hollywood Star.

New Yorkers! Don’t roll your eyes to our comment above. Come on! If you favorite actor was having a cupcake beside you, we know you’d be tempted to talk to him. Why not break down your pre-conceived ideas of “what’s cool” and just ask for a picture!

Emily Guggino: 7 NYC Tips By A Stylish Small Business Owner

Curiosities Insider Interviews Emily Guggino and Family

See the top 7 NYC Tips by Emily Guggino, Founder of Mulberry & Grand. She shared her favorite restaurants, coffee shops, outdoor spots and specialty shops!

Curiosities Insider Interviews Emily Guggino

After passing by (and falling in love with) a beautiful store named Mulberry & Grand, in Little Italy, our Founder Fernanda Paronetto decided to interview the owner, Emily Guggino.

The minute Emily Guggino graduated College, she moved to New York City. Even as a small child she knew that she wanted to be in New York, walking in high heels down the city streets.

Ayhan, her future husband, was a Turkish photojournalist, and moved from a prominent position in Istanbul to come to New York and live the American dream.

Their love story began when Emily (minus the high heels!) stumbled upon Ayhan, selling his photography outside the Guggenheim Museum one sunny Sunday afternoon. Together, they launched their first brand called Studio Manhattan, which is a series of artwork and photographic accessories.

Just a little over a year and a half ago they launched Mulberry & Grand, a curated collection of inspired accessories that Emily fell in love with.

Their love for travel has introduced them to many artisans across the world and, together with their own designs, have created Mulberry & Grand. The brand is super feminine, and totally the opposite of Studio Manhattan.

“We are currently working on a line of handmade petite diamond jewelry, that is handmade in NY.” Emily, is super excited about this especially since she’s a lover of all things that are gold and sparkly!

“It’s really our goal to inspire our customers with lovely accessories, and we want to take our passion & inspiration and give back. Mulberry & Grand has already raised funds for Syrian refugees, and we hope to continue that in an even bigger way to continue to assist women and children to get access to great eduction, so they can also pursue their dreams.”

Amazing, right?

Curiosities Insider Interviews Emily Guggino Mulberry and Grand

“Our idea of NY has really changed since we had kids, we aren’t really utilizing NY the same way as we did a few years ago.

It’s changed from going out to great dinners and hang outs to finding the best climbing rocks in Central Park (away from tourists), the best gelato, and the easiest streets to maneuver a double stroller.

Ayhan and I try to sneak out for lunch dates during the work week, so we can have some quality time to ourselves away from work and the kids. When we do, we try different restaurants, otherwise we frequent cafés and coffee shops for quick bites. We also generally try to stick within walking distance of our stores on Mulberry Street.”

“We love Greecologies. Their coffee and small bites are really yummy, and it’s a perfect, quiet space to have meetings or bring a laptop and get some emails taken care of. They also have a secret garden in the back, that has great outdoor seating.”

If you’re into healthy eating and enjoy yogurt (Greek yogurt, to be more specific), this is the place for you to to!

Greecologies doesn’t work with industrialized products and offer the freshest, high quality and delicious food.

They have everything from yogurts to a few savories, amazing desserts like their chia pudding, smoothies, probiotic drinks and a wide variety of coffees!

Cha Cha Matcha

Curiosities Insider Interviews Emily Guggino Cha Cha Matcha

“Cha Cha Matcha is also around the corner from Greecologies, and we love them for their matcha sweets.  Surprisingly they only take credit cards, so don’t bring cash, lol.”

We recently wrote about Cha Cha Matcha that you might want to check out!

We love their drinks and the matcha ice cream.

They are simply d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!!!

Perfect for any time of year, they have the matcha drinks, a few different bites and great coffee!

In addition, it’s a great spot to pass by and even work, since they have free wifi. Getting a table can be a challenge at specific times, but it’s surely worth the wait!

“For more upper scale eating, Sant Ambroeus in SoHo is one of our favs.”

Surely one of the eternal hot spots in the city, with a few different locations, Sant Ambroeus is a restaurant, a paninoteca and a coffee bar.

They most stylish and cool people are always around.

Who? Olivia Palermo and her husband Johannes Huebl, for example, are always around!

Depending on the location, the crowd changes a bit, but they are always very stylish people, with a great taste for food, fashion, culture.

“Our new favorite outside of the neighborhood has been Zuma, an upscale Japanese restaurant in Mid-town. The small dishes are great for sharing and it’s a place to go to taste wonderful food, but not if you are super hungry.”

Ahhh…Japanese food! Yes, we are very fond of Japanese cuisine and love the restaurants the City has to offer!

Zuma is one of the top ones for sure, located in Midtown Manhattan. It’s only a few minutes from Grand Central Terminal and very easy to get there.

They offer a contemporary Japanese Izakaya, in other words, they are a “Japanese tavern: drinking houses with a menu of small dishes for snacking while drinking.”

It’s a very informal dining style spot.

“Even though this is not quite a secret spot, for coffee we love, La Colombe in SoHo. They have an awesome cold latte on tap. Often there’s a line, but it’s definitely worth the wait.”

If you enjoy coffee like we do, you have to go to La Colombe.

They aren’t a secret in the city, like Emily mentioned, since they have several locations and are sold in several places, but you’ll be sure to have great coffee options.

In addition, if you really enjoy their coffee, you can relax and be sure that you’ll be able to take their different blends home.

There is definitely nothing better than starting your day with a fantastic mug of hot, delicious coffee.

“We don’t have time to exercise, so Ayhan stays fit by scooting between stores or renting Citi Bikes to get to our Uptown locations. I chase kids, lol. Lately we’ve been taking them to Central Park to climb the rocks. When they were smaller our favorite was Hippo Playground on the Upper West Side.”

We all love New York, specially when the weather is awesome, right?

There are countless outdoor activities to do and many to improvise. It’s literally an urban legend that “New York is not a good place to raise kids”.

You don’t agree? Well, take a look at a few reason why NYC is a great place for kids!

If you’re a mom, creativity needs to be in action 24/7.

Central Park and other parks are not necessarily a “behind the scenes” activity, but it is surely a highlight with the kids with the endless space for them to have fun. Hippo Park is a different spot to entertain the littles ones.

And still, if you’re the biker type, Citi Bike is a great option to commute up and down the city, or visit other boroughs.

Locations:
CitiBike – Spread through out the City
Central Park
Hippo Park – Riverside Park, at West 90th – 91st

Little Italy Neighborhood

Curiosities Insider Interviews Emily Guggino

“The coolest street in NY is Mulberry Street, between Grand and Broome, lol! That’s where our store is and we spend a tremendous amount of time there. Local New Yorkers are always surprised when they visit and see how much Little Italy has changed. It’s not just a tourist destination anymore….amazing restaurants and boutique shopping are slowly taking over.”

Yup! Little Italy has really changed a lot over the years and now we can find many New Yorkers roaming around the streets, discovering every new place that has opened. The street was named after the mulberry trees that once existed and was a street that housed grocery shops and butcher houses, with countless Italian immigrants.

And, as the New York Times wrote back in 1896:

“They are laborers; toilers in all grades of manual work; they are artisans, they are junkman, and here, too, dwell the rag pickers….There is a monster colony of Italians who might be termed the commercial or shop keeping community of the Latins.

Here are all sorts of stores, pensions, groceries, fruit emporiums, tailors, shoemakers, wine merchants, importers, musical instrument makers….There are notaries, lawyers, doctors, apothecaries, undertakers…. There are more bankers among the Italians than among any other foreigners except the Germans in the city.”

Now, it hosts nice Italian restaurants, cool small store and so much more.

And…a few fun questions to finish the Interview:

What does NYC mean to you?
“NYC will always mean a lot to us. It’s where we met, started our family and our business. So, it will always be our epicenter.”

What will a New Yorker never tell someone?
“There’s probably a lot a New Yorker would never tell someone. There’s just too much to tell! Everyday is an adventure.”

What piece of advise would you give someone that just moved to NY?
“New York is a dynamic place and full of extremes. It’s the absolute best place and the absolute worst all wrapped into one. That’s what we love about it!”

Thank you, Emily, for sharing these great spots and keep up the fantastic work with Mulberry & Grand!

NYC Hot Spots By The World Traveller, Ido Simyoni

Curiosities Insider Interviews Ido Simyoni by Chris Loupos

We interviewed Ido Simyoni, a world traveller and the mind behind huge and successful Social Media campaigns that went viral on Instagram, #StopTheTerror. He shared with us his 7 NYC hot spots and answered a few fun questions!

Curiosities Insider Interviews Ido Simyoni by Chris Loupos

Our Founder, Fernanda Paronetto, interviewed a very special guest for this week with an amazing story and how he’s influenced and is still influencing the world through Social Media!

Ido Simyoni (@Ido8All) is the mind behind huge and successful Social Media campaigns that went viral on Instagram, #StopTheTerror.

Check out his Bio, his +7 NYC Tips and a few fun questions:

“After 9 years of working on the biggest TV productions In Tel Aviv (from “The Israeli Idol” to “The Big Brother”), I decided that I need a new challenge. My biggest dream was to move to NYC and this was on my Bio, on Instagram, for almost 6 months: “Living in Tel Aviv, Dreaming of New York City – looking for an opportunity”.

But, the world had different plans for me and (almost 4 years ago) I was head-hunted by an education company (Kaplan International English), based in London, for the role of Head of Creative, Content and Social Media.

In addition, with my storytelling skills and my passion for Social Media, I’ve also managed to achieve some big success in my personal life: from running international the Social Media campaign (#StopTheTerror) to creating powerful Social Media accounts – even for my precious dog, Izo (@TheIzoTimes), traveling all over the world with my #Ido8allBus and sharing the love.”

See below 2 beautiful short videos of his breathtaking experience. The first, he tells us “How it feels to be dead” and his incredible recovery!

…and the second, how he skyrocketed his exposure on Instagram and went Global:

Now, to his +7 NYC Tips:

“My handle on Social Media is @Ido8all (Ido ate all) because I love food, so most of my time in NYC I’m looking for places to eat. The variety of burger places in the city is rad. Finding THE place for burgers was challenging and quite calorie heavy, however I’m happy to announce Burgers and Barrel as my winner because of the taste that makes you want to order more (even though you are completely full #TrueStory).”

Burger and Barrel is an American Pub and is owned by the renowned restauranteur John McDonald and Chef Josh Capon.

With a perfect location, in the heart of SoHo, they feature an award-winning burger named “Bash Burger”. Plus, they have an outstanding wine list.

Hours:
Monday – Tuesday: 11:30am – 10pm
Wednesday – Thursday: 11:30am – 11pm
Friday: 11:30am – 11pm (kitchen) and 12am (bar)
Saturday: 11am – 11pm (kitchen) and 12am (bar)
Sunday: 11am – 10pm

Location: 25 West Houston Street, SoHo

Peacefood Cafe

“Go Vegan (?!) – I love meat and the more red, the better, however when my friend introduced me to Peacefood Cafe – next to Union Square, I just couldn’t believe how amazing Vegan Food can be (they fooled me with Fake Chicken).”

Moreover, the description on their website is surely the best one, so here it is:

Peacefood Cafe is named after the simple idea that peace begins on your plate. Two vegans founded Peacefood Cafe in 2009 on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Eric, an antiques dealer, and Peter, an interior designer, believe the awareness of non-violence can be spread through feeding people with delicious vegan food.

Amazing, right? This is definitely up our alley!

Hours: Check their website to see the different locations.

Locations:
41 East 11th Street, Greenwich Village
460 Amsterdam Avenue, Upper West Side

Dominique Ansel’s Bakery

Curiosities Insider Interviews Ido Simyoni Dominique Ansel Bakery

“I usually don’t eat anything sweet in the morning, but one thing can’t avoid having at least (1…2… and 3) are the Cronuts at Dominique Ansel’s Bakery… This is giving Bakeries totally new meaning.”

Dominique founded his Bakery in November of 2011 and in no time, was all over the news and receiving countless awards.

Today, it’s not a “behind the scenes” spot any more, but we have to confess it’s still top of our list for Bakeries in the City.

Oh! You might be asking “What is a Cronut?”. It’s a croissant and doughnut hybrid – surely to die for, and as Ido said, hard to eat only one.

Plus, to see more pictures and infos on Dominique Ansel’s Bakery, see our post!

Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 8am – 7pm
Saturday & Sunday: 8am – 8pm
Sunday: 9am – 7pm

“I am probably not up-to-date with the latest trendiest rooftop bars in the city, but my heart is with one of my firsts 230 Fifth Rooftop Bar – because the drinks are accompanied with fantastic views of the City and always packed with mega chic crowd. #SelfieWithEmpireState is a must.”

It’s surely one of the best views of the Empire State Building you’ll get, even though it is quite touristy.

The place is beautiful, large windows, beautiful opened area, delicious food and cocktails, paired with a great crowd, as Ido said.

The Music? Well, during weeknights they play upbeat lounge and weekends, primarily 80’s, 90’s and House Music.

Hours:
Opened 7 days a week, all year long, from 4pm – 4am
Food served only up till 12am

“Shopping – When I’m not in Woodbury Common or The Mills at Jersey Gardens, you’ll find me searching for vintage clothes in the streets of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.”

Woodbury Common features over 220 stores including Tory Burch, Nike, Celine, Bottega Veneta, Polo Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Burberry, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, The North Face and more. And, all of it at savings of 25% to 65% every day. They have a list of the best luxury brands with amazing discounts.

Contrary from Woodbury, The Mills at Jersey Gardens is a two-level indoor outlet mall in Elizabeth, located in New Jersey. It’s a great place to spend the day if you’re in the mood of shopping.

Williamsburg, or Willyb as we kindly call it, is definitely a great spot for shopping if you enjoy off the beaten track brands and vintage stuff. But, prices can get surprisingly high around there. We love it anyway.

“You’ll always see me with my camera and phone when walking in the street of the City. However, one of the places I like capturing the most is Chelsea Piers – specially the skateboard park because it reminds me of Venice Beach in L.A., without the beach.”

Located on the Hudson River, Chelsea Piers offers over 25+ different sports if you’re into learning, practicing or even competing.

Moreover, they have great classes and competitions for kids and adults, plus a great health club and other dedicated event spaces.

“If you are looking to cut your hair in a cool friendly place you should try Hairrari East Village. I absolutely love them and my new haircut!”

Hairrari was founded in 2011 by Magda Ryczko in Williamsburg.

Different from normal hair salon, Hairrari “flips the barber salon concept upside down once inside”.

They welcome girls and boys and can work on your unique dream hair style.

And, as they say: “Take a seat, grab a drink, and check out the local art on our walls while we take care of your hair up top and give you the look you want.”

Location: 34 East 1st Street, East Village

We also asked Ido a few fun questions too:

What does NYC mean to you?

“NYC to me is my dream (and hopefully future) home. I have always been fascinated by the city and keep falling in love with it every single time that I’m there…”

Which famous New Yorker would you like to meet? And why?

“With no doubt, Jimmy Fallon. I’m always fascinated by talented people and he’s an example of someone who’s just good in everything he does. So, I would probably challenge him to cook me dinner and choose our outfits, while we do the history of rap 26.”

Do you have any embarrassing moments in the City, you’d love to share?

“I have been to New York more the 18 times and consider myself as someone who “knows the city”. One night, after going out with my non-local friends, I was in charge of ‘navigating’ and instead of going Downtown to Brooklyn we ended up in Queens.

I felt so dumb, but I blamed it on the great wine we had. Luckily they were so tired and tipsy that they ended up forgiving me for this long ride. My tip here is go download and use CityMapper.

One of our Contributors, Lygia Santos, went to The Ship NYC the other night and tried their amazing drinks and delicious food. This Soho restaurant is a great option of a special night! Owned by Michael Auerbach, it’s definitely an experience worth having in NYC!

“As I walked into the bar founded in 2014, I was immediately approached by one of the owners, Cervantes Ramirez, that gave me a fantastic tour around the place. He is also the head bartender there and very well known in the New York bar scene.

The drinks were both very refreshing and perfect for the NY summer. I tried the sangria with gin, allspice dram, pinot noir, orange, lemon, served on cracked ice and a super traditional piña colada.

If you are not a huge fan of cocktail drinks, it’s ok! You can have one of their excellent draft beers or try their wine list. Oh! The “Bartender’s Choice” is always a good pick if you’re the adventurous type!

The kitchen, managed by Chef Lucas Cerqueira (Brazilian born), is simple, yet extremely tasty.

I started with a slow cooked octopus with celery root puree, horseradish and sunomono. Then I tried the citric ceviche served with red onion, fluke, cilantro and leech de tigre. They were both amazing.

But, if you don’t really enjoy seafood, they have other great options too!

You can order dishes like the chicken liver foie gras, charcuterie and a Korean style BBQ called kalbi sliders. They also offer small bites like the artichoke feta cheese spread and the homemade ricotta.

Robert Jamieson, the owner’s friend, is responsible for the unique and intriguing décor, that portrays the inside of a Ship. Very cool!”

They accept reservation only from Monday – Wednesday, with 24 hours advance. We do recommend!

If you have a sweet tooth, you can head for an additional dessert and coffee at a few places close by. We love Maman, the super famous and traditional Eileen’s Special Cheesecake and Cha Cha Matcha, that has been a sensation since it’s launch!

We also recommend simply getting lost around SoHo! It’s the best way to discover new places!

Opening Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 5pm – 1am
Friday – Saturday: 6pm – 3am

Location: 158 Lafayette Street

“One of the geniuses behind The Commodore and Pies & Thighs debuted this Mex-American haunt, El Cortez, last summer, conveniently located two blocks from the Morgan Avenue’s L stop. The restaurant’s giant totem pole looks absolutely ridiculous against Bushwick’s post-industrial skyline, and that’s okay. Get the nachos – they’re 100 emoji status and SUPER hot – and pick your poison off a lengthy drink menu. Karaoke kicks off at 10 p.m. on Tuesdays.”

Founded by Stephen Tanner, El Cortez is located in one of the artsy streets in Bushwick. Besides the restaurant, you can find a dance floor and a bar upstairs, if you decide to extend your night.

No cover charged and you do have to be over 21 to get in.

Hours: Daily from 4pm through 4am

Location: 17 Ingraham Street, Bushwick

“At a first glance Mulberry Street Bar looks like your standard Little Italy bar-slash-pizza kitchen, but something magical happens here on Friday nights. A regular crowd of straight outta Sicily karaoke enthusiasts fills the gingham-covered tables and belt out crooner hits from Dean-o and Old Blue Eyes. Watch out for Sonny – the most incredible karaoke performer you ever did see. The brick oven pizza isn’t too shabby, either.”

Founded in 1908, Mulberry Street Bar is one of the oldest bars in New York City.

It has hosted a few of Hollywood’s favorite movies like: Donnie Brasco, The Sopranos, Law & Order and Contract on Cherry Street with Frank Sinatra.

Décor is practically the same as when it opened, with a few modern twists.

Location: 176 Mulberry Street, Little Italy

“If being “basic” is a thing, why not embrace it in the most ironic way possible? The Globe NYC, a typical bro bar most nights, is a gem late night on Saturdays. Check your bougie attitude at the door and bring a high-energy squad to dance the night away to terrible Top 40 – because even hipsters can appreciate the occasional Pitbull banger.”

The Globe NYC is an old-school Irish pub, since 1886, with a fireplace featuring Guinness and other drafts, plus pub grub.

They have Burger & Brew for $12 from Mondays – Fridays, until 4pm.

Plus, every Tuesday night from 8pm – 11pm, they have a Live Irish Folk Jam Music!

Oh! Wanna host your party there? They have a new craft bar and event space called The Green Room. Go check it out.

The Sleepless New York City Nightlife Circuit

Nightlife Bars Top of the Standard Boom Boom Room Guests

Today, our Contributor, Joey Zauzig talks about the sleepless New York City nightlife, the most exciting and exclusive places to go and their particularities! So, if you’re a night owl, you’ll definitely enjoy it!

“Nightlife, especially in New York City, can be like a merry-go-round: super exciting at first and then overly easy to get sick of.

Something to know about the nightlife in NYC is that it takes the perfect mix of lounges, clubs, bars and events. To keep things interesting, the right circuit as I like to call it.

Lets face it, who likes seeing the same ‘desperatos‘ waiting at the door to PHD at 3am, or the stragglers who think LeBain is still “exclusive”, you have to change it up.

The truth is, the clubs in New York City are like the Winter’s in New York. It’s cute for a month, then you’ve suddenly become completely sick of it. It doesn’t matter, whether old or new, the day of the week or time you go are major factors.

Some new places, such as The Blond, and even the elder, such as The Boom Boom Room are musts for the perfect circuit. They are great to ensure you’re not riding the merry go round.

Let’s start with the current, The Blond, located on the 2nd floor of the 11 Howard Hotel in SoHo, had it’s opening just this past weekend and was designed by Anda Andrei and SPACE Copenhagen. The owner is Aby Rosen and the nightlife veterans, part of Aby’s new lounge, Angelo Bianchi & Julio Montego had a spot called Beatrice Inn which was previously one of many and my favorite spots, on any given night.

The Blond gives a Rose Bar feel, but better. Full on glass walls, a spiral staircase, sick art and velvet details make it intimate. It just opened this past weekend. A few of the present guests were: Cuba Gooding Jr., Charlotte Sarkozy, Princess Olympia of Greece, Brian Atwood and Rory Tahari.

But, I see this being one of the new spots in many people’s circuits. It draws in an eclectic chill crowd that won’t be overwhelming to start or end the night. It opens to the public in April.

We have to talk about it, because a lot of people haven’t been, as it is members only – Soho House, located in Meat Packing. Yes, it’s exclusive and yes, it’s a restaurant/hotel, but recently they’ve added Vinyl Room.

Located on the 6th Floor in the old Library. Yes, it’s still members only, unless there is an event going on, then, you still have to be on a list.

This is my favorite if I’m in the mood to dance and throw back a few drinks. Meanwhile, I can also be surrounded by an interesting mix of people, at least until the roof opens in a few weeks!

Next we move on to ACME and, yes, maybe I’m writing about my circuit on certain nights… When it comes to the day of the week rule, ACME plays a big part. Every night of the week is different.

I.E Tuesdays is STRUT which is gay night. Wednesdays tend to be on the slower side. Thursdays which, in my opinion, is the best night for a more chill laid back feel, but always great music.

Then we have Top of the Standard, aka The Boom Boom Room. Most of the time, there is always something going on there, so you either know it or you don’t. Long story short, hard door.

Usually if you don’t know anyone, you’re not getting in. But, the place has an incredibly sick atmosphere and 99.9% of the time, a great crowd.

Now, if you are really looking for a late night and want to keep it going, try Never Never. Which is located right next to the club Up & Down – which is good, but needless to say – it is exclusive and as tiny as they get!

I love it there. The only downside really is 100% of the time you’ll smell like smoke for at least 3 days. But, I think it’s totally worth it. This should always be the last stop as things don’t get going here till around 1am. Very intimate, Benny at the door can be tough, but if you’re with or ARE the right people, you’re good.

So there’s a crash course for you in the New York City Nightlife scene. The places mentioned above all have pretty strict doors, but if you have the pluckiness, I highly recommend them all.”

But…

If you’re the type that enjoys a bit more laid back spots and crowd, you can try some of these place. Sister’s Brooklyn has great live music.  For the rock’n’roll lovers try Saint Vitus Bar, in Greenpoint. We do have friend that enjoy Marie’s Crisis Cafe and pour their lung out singing Musical lyrics. Zinc Bar is a traditional Jazz Bar we absolutely love, in the Greenwich Village. Last, the Brooklyn Steel is one of the hottest spots in Brooklyn now for big live music performances.

The New York City Nightlife definitely has it all!
