Marram Montauk is a standard beach hotel located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, at the East end of the Montauk’s beach hotel strip. It’s just an easy walk to Montauk Village, where you can find countless restaurants and local stores. “Nothing between you and the sand”, like they say!
Fall was starting and I hadn’t enjoyed the sun that much during the summer time. And, thankfully the sun was still shining, so why not go to the beach? My friend suggested a trip to the Hamptons!
We didn’t have any hotel in mind so we “googled” it. For 3 days we researched websites and exchanging e-mails. We finally decided to stay at a hotel in Montauk instead of in the central part of the Hamptons. It’s more rustic and a little bit cheaper. Among all choices we had, we picked an upper ocean view quad at the Marram Montauk Hotel. This hotel offers numerous amenities and activities and it was just what I was looking for.
That being said, let’s get straight to the point:
Marram Montauk is a standard beach hotel located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, at the East end of the Montauk Beach hotel strip. It’s just an easy walk to Montauk Village, where you can find countless restaurants and great local stores. One of the highlights is getting to the beach through the wooden stairs. It’s amazing. Wild and fancy at the same time. “Nothing between you and the sand”, like they enjoy saying!
The hotel has around 100 rooms from standard to beachfront suites, all with balconies. The rooms are decorated in grey and white colors, with a kitchenette where you’ll find a sink, coffee maker, a small fridge, etc…
Breakfast is not included, but they have the A.T. Eatery – a full service kitchen serving breakfast and lunch. Managed by chef Robert Prado, the Eatery provides you with everything from classic sandwiches to more sophisticated dishes. All beach-friendly too. A.T. Eatery is open every day from 7am – 6pm and you can find the menu on the website.
However, you can also prepare something for yourself in the room and enjoy it on the cozy benches at the balcony.
The Marram Montauk Hotel offers a variety of outdoors activities such as backyard games, picnic areas, live music (seasonal), bonfires, etc.
You can also book surf and paddle board lessons. Plus, if you’re into yoga, you can head to the swimming pool area in the morning and get ready for their free class! Classes depend on the weather, but you can check details at the reception. Their classes are quite famous around there.
If you enjoy shopping, the hotel also has a small boutique to entertain you. NIBI MTK is a beachwear store by the designer Kristin Sheeler. “Nibi” means water in the original language people used to speak in the village of Montauk. You’ll also be able to find some vintage pieces and accessories.
In addition, the hotel also provides wifi, laundry facilities, a gym and a lounge with a ping-pong table and arcade games. Furthermore, you’ll find eco-friendly bath amenities and 300-thread count Frette bedding.
We loved the weekend and the beautiful nature views we could enjoy from our own balcony.
In sum, we had a great time in the town and was impressed with all the amenities the hotel provided. Of course, the staff was very friendly and getting to the beach through the super cute staircase, was definitely one of the coolest things.
I’m definitely going back there, next summer, with more friends! Hope to see you there too. Let us know about your plans and if you need any help in organizing this trip! For corporate requests for your team or clients, contact our experts.
