The NoMad NYC area is slowly becoming my favorite hood in New York. You’ll be able to find hotels good for fun or business, like the INNSIDE New York.
For reference, the “North of Madison” (a.k.a. NoMad) area is contained to East 25th Street to the South, East 29th Street to the North, Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) to the West and Madison Avenue to the East.
The Nomad area is bursting full of new boutiques, restaurants and hotels including the INNSIDE New York, which opened in March 2016. Meliá Hotels International, one of the largest hotel companies in the world, opened INNSIDE New York as their first INNSIDE by Meliá brand hotel in North America.
To start, the 313 room (eight suites and three terrace suites) hotel, serves the business traveller and discerning tourist who wants subtle solitude. That, combined with central convenience of being able to head Downtown and Midtown with ease.
Also, guests are treated to a complimentary minibar stocked with water, soda and juices and standard complimentary Wi-Fi access. My favorite part of the hotel room was the large oversized window that overlooked the city’s water towers. In the distance, the beauty of the One World Trade Center.
While there is a Nepresso coffee machine in each room, you need to pass and try out the signature restaurant. Impero Caffè is helmed by the celebrity chef, Scott Conant.
Guests can grab Italian coffeehouse fair before starting their day and host lunch/dinner engagements later in the day.
The lobby bar which seating spills out on the outside (heated) patio, serves old-fashioned drinks and seasonal hand-crafted cocktails. In addition, a good selection of local draft and bottled beers, wine, champagne and spirits.
Staying for business? This is a great option to consider.
INNSIDE New York features two meetings suites that are equipped with Smart Kapp. This program has modernized the experience of a dry erase board. It allow meeting participants to receive content as it’s created on the board across multiple devices.
They can also connect to a laptop or mobile phone via Bluetooth. This allows guests to upload images directly from their device to the board.
Finally, the rates start at $146 (depending on the season), but are very reasonable. As we said, it’s a great hotel for fun or for business, in the Nomad area.
To relax after a full day and get some down time, visit our friends at City Wellness Collective, just around the corner from the hotel. You may also go for a delicious gastronomical experience at By Chloe.
