We were ecstatic and ultra delighted when Sarah Owen, Trend Forecaster and Editor at WGSN, suggested an Instagram take-over.

In addition, Sarah is also a trend forecaster, journalist and brand strategist for The New York Times, New York magazine, i-D magazine, Nylon magazine, Refinery29, Yen magazine, Vs. magazine, Collective magazine,, A Hotel Life, Red Bull, and Russh magazine. Phiuf!

“I love going down in Brooklyn’s Dumbo overlooking Manhattan and see Tom Fruin’s colorful stained glass tower. It’s located right beside Jane’s Carrousel.”

Tom Fruin’s art and Jane’s Carrousel are part of the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Plus, Manhattan’s skyline view is simply breathtaking. It’s a bit touristy, but it’s one of the places in New York City that never gets old!

“It’s freezing cold in New York City at the moment and this guy is surviving on the roof of Marlborough Chelsea Gallery. Luckily, he’s just a piece of art.”

Founded in the year of 1946, in London, Marlborough Gallery is one of the world’s leading modern and contemporary art dealers, with worldwide recognition.

Location: 40 West 57th Street, #2, Midtown


“My favorite coffee shop, Devoción USA serves up the best soy latte and an interior worth instagramming.”

Located right on the border of North and South Williamsburg, this coffee shop is a neighborhood sweetheart, attracting some of the coolest Brooklynites. So, plan in going for a quick coffee, or take your computer to work. They have free wifi!

“Get lost in and discover some pretty original and peculiar zines in a great spot called Printed Matter Inc..”

As they explain, they are the world’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination, understanding and appreciation of artists’ books. In addition, it’s also a great place to meet interesting people, as Antonia Greco, a dating expert, told us.

“Can’t get enough of this Brooklyn-made chocolate at Williamsburg’s Mast Brothers store.”

Founded in 2007 by the brothers, Rick and Michael Mast, their chocolate is known for the super unique craftsmanship, the impeccable packaging, innovative flavors and minimalistic characteristics. So, go taste some of this special flavors, like the Olive Oil, Smoke, Maple and Sheep Milk.

“Inside the New York Public Library on 5th Avenue. Plus, the architecture is breathtaking and the fun is in exploring all the secret rooms like this one.”

Yes, this is one of the touristy spots worth exploring (a million times)! It’s one of the most amazing landmarks in the city, filled with secret stories and rooms!
