If you’re looking for few great places to shop for men’s clothing and accessories, take a look at this selection by our amazing Contributor, Joey Zauzig! It’s a short downtown NYC shopping guide for men.
Joey Zauzig shared some of his favorite stores to refresh your closet!
Downtown shopping is something that some would describe as challenging. Uptown shopping has a stigma of having the best stores for your go-to closet must-haves.
Moreover, some of the best spots to shop at downtown do exist. They just might be a bit trickier to find and filter out with all the other boutiques on every street in the downtown boroughs.
For instance, some of my favorite stores from Midtown Manhattan to Brooklyn include, Dover Street Market, Fish for the Hip and Bird.
Bird
Bird is always a great shop not just because of the must have mens pieces it has to offer, but the comfy, downtown environment. Not many know about this retail gem, but you might feel like you’ve struck gold when you see the refined men’s section.
So, trust me, sure to find your winter to fall transition piece here.

Fisch for the Hip
To be honest, when it comes to designer re-sale, I’m always a bit weary. Additionally, there are so many “popular” ones, you really never know what you are going to get.
Fisch for the Hip is key to finding your favorite designer staples.
Location: 88 1/2 7th Avenue
Dover Street Market
Last, but certainly not least, Dover Street Market.
It not only has the dopest selection of your favorite classic and more eclectic pieces, but wins for best esthetically pleasing shopping experience.
Sometimes window shopping isn’t such a depressing thing and if you’re going to do this it would be here. Yet, you would most likely find yourself buying the latest designer piece to hit the floor or grabbing a pastry at Rose Cafe.
