In December we ‘re always trying to meet with everyone to wish them a great Christmas, right? In January we meet up with everyone again to celebrate the New Year that started! Well…we can’t deny that we love going to The Happiest Hour in the Greenwich Village with friends!
Located in the Greenwich Village, The Happiest Hour is a relatively new cocktail bar and full service restaurant that opens at 5pm and runs up through late night hours. If you’re the night-owl type, this is a great place for you to try.
Founded by the restaurateur Jon Neidich and the bartender Jim Kearns, the place contrasts the low light with a 1970’s and 80’s tropical Californian decor.
The space is divided up into a bar, a dining room and a downstairs old school vibe bar. We love this downstairs area, for they play Ray Charles, the amazing Ella Fitzgerald, etc…giving it a nostalgic 50’s mood.
Try their fantastic signature cocktails and their Happiest Burger – some consider it the new “it burger” in town. Worth a try to experiment and rate if for yourself. The place it also great if you’re up to small bites and sharing dishes with friend. This is a great way to be able to taste a bit of everything on the menu.

And, we have to say, The Happiest Hour in the Greenwich Village has become on of the New York hotspots with the trendiest Manhattan folks. During the New York Fashion Week, the place is one of the main spots hosting the hottest and most desired parties in the city!
Before heading there for drinks, you might want to have dinner at places like Rosemary’s (neighbor to The Happiest Hour) or at the 1 Michelin-star Nix.
