Jay Kos NYC is a brand for the bold, unique men with strong and fearless personality. It is definitely not for the timid. If you’re this type of man, then jump right into this post!
Jay Kos is one of the stores we really enjoy recommending to the bold, unique men with strong and fearless personality.
Jay’s story begins back in Westfield, New Jersey. It doesn’t surprise us when we learned that Jay had a hard time adjusting to the uniformity and lack of individualism of that community. Inside, he wanted to express his talent and creativity, but it was only years later that he got closer to the fashion universe.
At 16 he started his own flea market business and in the early 1990’s he began selling high-end luxury brands. In no time, he was the “talk of the town”!
He even tried Dental School, but found out his real calling, was Fashion!
Today, Jay is not only a designer, but also a Chef. He gets much of his design inspiration from the food’s tastes, colors and textures! Pretty special, huh!?
His store is located in SoHo and it’s décor sends you back to the 1940’s, with a twist.
He designed a special kitchen that, if you’re lucky enough, you’ll be served a snack by Jay himself! The selection for the bold and adventurous men range from polka-dot ties, felt hats, rich colored vests and blazers, to other pretty exotic items.
In addition, for the more conservative men, they are also able to find amazing items. From perfectly tailored linen and wool suits, corduroy pans and the best: exclusively tailored suits that range from $4,500 up to $20,000. Certainly a special piece to have in your closet.
It can get pretty expensive, but Jay’s singular touch and eye for details do make the price comprehensible.
Shopping at Jay Kos NYC is, above all, a rare experience! So, enjoy!
